Description Aurélien Bertron 2019-05-20 11:35:01 UTC
SUMMARY
I use two screens and I want to record one of them. I can not select which screen to grab.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Just try to select which screen to grab

OBSERVED RESULT
The feature is absent.

EXPECTED RESULT
I should be able to select one of my two screens.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4
Qt Version: 5.12.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
It was possible to select screen in previous version through the so-called "record monitor". See example here: https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/Monitors#Record_Monitor

This seems to be linked to this commit: https://cgit.kde.org/kdenlive.git/commit/?id=d60cf7721a4ea44e6d39d132711e249e13498af6

Please tell me if I'm wrong, but you created a new widget and did not moved all the features. The old menu is still there, by the way. I don't know the code base, but it looks like dead code to me.

I don't have two screens. Where was this feature where you could select as screen? In the capture settings?

In 19.04 the screengrab has its own window (view -> enable "screen grab")
Comment 3 Aurélien Bertron 2019-06-08 16:48:00 UTC
There was a "+" button in the clip monitor which opened a menu with a combobox to select which screen to grab. You can see it if you revert the commit I linked in my previous message.

Should be fixed with your commit: https://invent.kde.org/kde/kdenlive/commit/ad1636bd8d6ddf0065d68c3209e79de9e81ec187 . Thank you for contribution.
