Isn't this a bug in Firefox? In chrome with the same theme this doesn't happen. Shouldn't I report this to Firefox bugzilla instead?
Comment 3 Nate Graham 2019-08-06 16:49:54 UTC
It was a Breeze theme bug actually. Fixed with the fix for Bug 356006 though!
Comment 4 Nate Graham 2019-08-06 16:52:23 UTC
Actually never mind, my mistake. Not fixed yet.
Comment 5 Nate Graham 2019-08-06 16:58:56 UTC
As of Plasma 5.17, this is not a problem when using Breeze Dark or Breeze Light. Just default Breeze.

There's a first-attempt patch to fix this: https://phabricator.kde.org/D22452

...but I don't think I am going to continue working on that patch, this problem is beyond my abilities.
Comment 8 Nate Graham 2019-08-10 22:40:21 UTC
This is mostly an upstream bug in Firefox itself (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1562507) but we can try our best to work around it.

Still happening on Plasma 5.18 beta + Firefox 72.0.2.

Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.90
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.66.0
Qt Version: 5.14.1
Comment 15 Patrick Silva 2020-06-14 12:51:19 UTC
Same thing on Plasma 5.19 + Firefox 77.0.1.
Comment 16 Patrick Silva 2021-05-14 16:00:26 UTC
Still an issue with Firefox 88.0.1 and Plasma 5.22 beta on Arch Linux.

Set global theme to Breeze
Set color scheme to Breeze
Use default theme of Firefox
Comment 17 Podagric 2021-06-03 13:26:42 UTC
With the new firefox proton UI, this got even more annoying
Comment 18 Nate Graham 2022-05-09 21:28:39 UTC
Firefox has its own tab styling now and doesn't respect the system theme anymore. :( So I guess this isn't a problem anymore from breeze-gtk's perspective.
