Duration and position edit fields are all read-only

SUMMARY
It is very hard to change the duration of each clips.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Import or create any clip in the project bin
2. Drag the clip and drop it on the timeline
3. Double-click the clip on the timeline, the Duration dialog will not popup
4. Right-click the clip on the timeline, and select the "Edit Duration" command

OBSERVED RESULT
Now, the Position and Duration edit fields are all read-only. CANNOT TYPE IN ANYTHING

EXPECTED RESULT
Users should be able to edit the duration of selected clip by typing numbers.
The only way to adjust the duration is to click the tiny up/down buttons on the right side of edit fields.

Thank you for reporting. Issue is opened for this: https://invent.kde.org/kde/kdenlive/issues/173.

By clicking into the field you can adjust with the mouse wheel only.

Thank you for making progress about this issue.
Plus, is STEP #3 also considered? I mean, in the previous version, it was able to open the duration edit window by double-clicking a clip on the timeline. With 19.04.0 and 19.04.1, double-click does nothing. Is this a planned change?

On previous version double click was only working when you ungroup video&audio.

Opened issue https://invent.kde.org/kde/kdenlive/issues/212 for double click open duration window.

BTW: you can make a shortcut like CTRL+D for this.

Select-All command can make it editable

I have found another workaround and want to share it.
Although the default state of speed/duration edit fields are readonly, once you have commanded "select all" then they get editable, what a relief!
The productivity has been recovered! :-)

I have found a workaround for this issue with editing clip duration as well as editing clip speed.

Creating and using keyboard shortcuts (Settings / Configure Shortcuts) to these commands allows editing of the various values. Right clicking into these commands still will not allow editing the value after adding shortcuts.
