When you press it do you see a context menu?
Comment 2 Nicolas Fella 2019-05-15 21:46:22 UTC
yes. After I select an entry and the DnD is active I'd expect the checkbox to be checked
Comment 3 David Edmundson 2019-05-16 10:38:55 UTC
It is changing here, so we have a bug to fix.

Does the main panel icon change?
Any warnings to stderr?
Can you run dbus-monitor and capture the moment you press the switch

Comment 5 Nicolas Fella 2019-05-16 17:15:58 UTC
The panel icon changes to what I assume is the correct icon.
I don't see any realted output from plasmashell.

When I activate DnD and then hover over the applet's configure button then the checkbox suddenly is checked.

I can also observe a similar problem in other applets. In the battery applet when I check the 'Enable Power Management' checkbox the checkbox is unchecked short after and then sometimes automatically rechecked. I'll try to record a video of the problem

Also possibly related:
I have Yakuake bound to Meta + Space. When I press it to open/close Yakuake the checkbox gets checked/unchecked, but only if the applet has focus.

I see the same behavior on a fresh install of Kubuntu 19.10. Enabling DnD works but the checkbox isn't shown as selected until after dismissing and loading the tray popup again.

Operating System: Kubuntu 19.10
KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.90
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.58.0
Qt Version: 5.12.2
Kernel Version: 5.0.0-13-generic

Can confirm this issue on

Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.61.0
Qt Version: 5.13.0

Works for me on Manjaro testing, Plasma 5.16.4.
Comment 10 Daniel 2020-06-11 15:11:38 UTC
still a thing with plasma 5.20. It isn't always there, but often enough to notice it.
