SUMMARY When I press Ctrl-C while in Google Chrome's "omnibar" (URL bar), several (~4) context menus appear. I have to press Esc or click "Cancel" four times for the menu to go away. If I triple-click to select the entire URL, two context menus appear. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go to a website in Google Chrome (does not work if not on a valid webpage). 2. Highlight the entire URL. 3. Press Ctrl-C OR triple-click to select all text. OBSERVED RESULT URL is copied to the clipboard AND two-four identical, stacked context menus appear. EXPECTED RESULT URL is copied to the clipboard and no context menus appear. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS - Linux Ubuntu 18.04 - KDE 5.12.7 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - This does not happen in Firefox. - It only happens when the text in the "omnibar" is a valid URL. - The context bar contains the following items: - The text "HTML document - Actions For: <url in omnibar>" - Several applications (e.g. Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.) - The text "Disable This Popup" - The text "Cancel"
Have you set any actions in klipper/the clipboard manager?
I recently uninstalled and re-installed a bunch of things, including a lot of KDE-related things. However, I hadn't restarted my computer since then. Today, after a full shutdown and reboot, it looks like things are fine. Sorry for the spurious bug report!
