Created attachment 119991 [details] Screenshot of KDEnlive with empty window that popup after click on Open in File menu. SUMMARY I am running KDEnlive in LUbuntu 18.04 in VBox on Windows10 host. When I try to open or save any file the winow that popup have only empty frame. But the application is running. If I type blind a filename it will open or saved. I can close the window. Attached is a screenshot taken immediately after starting KDEnlive and click open in File menu. I was moving Shutter winodw and that took capture over the Open window and it left a track. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open KDEnlive 2. Try to open or save any files. 3. The issue is permannetlt reproduced OBSERVED RESULT The window have only frame and close button on corner but it is transparent (empty). Any other object moved over it leaves a track. EXPECTED RESULT In the window it is expected to appear a file list menu to select path and file. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION VBoc 6.0 with installed extention pack on linux. Version 6.0.6 r130049 (Qt5.6.2)
So far only in kdenlive is observed the issue. Other applications can open the dialog box for open or save files. Seems the window is just transparent but clicking on it in areas of "Open" or "Cancel" buttons the buttons are activated and window gets closed.
Kdenlive 17.12 is not supported anymore. You have 2 possibilities: Try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 19.04.2d to see if there are any packaging issues https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/ or Windows 19.04.2-3: https://kdenlive.org/en/download/
