Seems to be something with the thumbnailer trying to make previews of a media file somewhere. The backtrace points to taglib (a separate library) but I would also think that a thumbnailer crash shouldn't bring down all of kdeinit5.
I think it just displays kdeinit5, the actual process having crashed is likely thumbnail.so
Created attachment 125454 [details] kdeinit5-20200127-072339.kcrash How I understand it's a similar crash (again). SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora F31 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.66.0 Qt Version: 5.13.2
I can confirm same issue started ~4 days ago, it shows kdeinit5 crash on login. System: KDE Neon 5.18.5, up to date as of today. Some clues that may come in handy (or not at all) - I had downloaded ~70GBs of videos, ~1.4GB each, and downloaded a lot of themes, fiddled around with them too, recently. Plasma started to act weird by displaying icons on desktop and in dolphin from different icon themes, reverting to breeze "look-and-feel" theme solved it. I don't have any more precise timeline. /.../ #13 0x0000558e087293ad in launch (argc=4, _name=0x558e0a101078 "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/kf5/kio/thumbnail.so", args=<optimized out>, cwd=<optimized out>, envc=0, envs=<optimized out>, reset_env=false, tty=0x0, avoid_loops=false, startup_id_str=0x558e0872be87 "0") at ./src/kdeinit/kinit.cpp:708 /.../

#7 post should be deleted, as well as this one afterwards. I missed the fact I can add attachments myself. Sorry.
