SUMMARY This is just a feature request for the konsole tabbar. Since monitors are wider than taller, I believe there is enough room on either side of the window to place the tabbar. This would also make (my, perhaps others?) life easier when lots of tabs are open, as the tab name might not be truncated (if the vertical tabbar would be resizable). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I wouldn't mind this as an optional feature, but the "monitors are wider than taller" logic to justify this only makes sense if you assume that Konsole has been maximized. When Konsole is tiled, using extra horizontal screen space is actually much worse. So I would not like it to be mandatory.

Yes, I agree, and I'm sorry I missed expressing that this feature should be optional.
