SUMMARY I downloaded some mp3 files into my existing music folder. The files are there, they have ID3 tags, they even have an image in the id3-v2 tag. Elisa can open these files but even after a restart of elisa removing the folder from the configuration and readding it. The files are not in the library. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. add a folder to elisa 2. wait until scanned 3. close elisa 4. add new files to the folder 5. reopen elisa 6. rescan media (?) OBSERVED RESULT The newly added files are not in the library EXPECTED RESULT The newly added files are in the library SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.57.0 Qt Version: 5.12.0
Could you try running Elisa this way and attach the log ? QT_LOGGING_RULES="org.kde.elisa.*=true" ./elisa

(In reply to Thomas from comment #2) > Created attachment 119803 [details] > elisa.log Sorry for the long delay without an answer. I have done a very bad job here. I believe this bug has been fixed (stopping indexing if an error was encountered). It seems on the log that some error happen with one track. Elisa would (in your version) stop any music indexing. That has been fixed and should allow you to import the other tracks. If you can test again, that would be nice.
