Description Mykola Krachkovsky 2019-05-01 10:15:01 UTC
SUMMARY
Before Konsole 19.04 profile shortcut created new tab, but with 19.04 was introduced new behaviour ( https://cgit.kde.org/konsole.git/commit/?id=d689ba5403ceb998013fc99de6758976f8509e98 ) and it completely brakes my workflow. Shortcut becomes unusable for me.
I have profiles for different servers and profiles not just visual style, but also a different starting command (ssh to specific server).
So after this change I have to use mouse to create new tab with specific profile (which is very inconvenient).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Update to 19.04.
2. Use shortcut for profile to specific server.

OBSERVED RESULT
Current tab just changed visual style.

EXPECTED RESULT
New tab created with specified command and visual style.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: openSUSE Tumbleweed x86_64 (snapshot 20190428)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.57.0
Qt Version: 5.12.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
IMHO, both shortcuts for creating profile new tab and changing current tab profile are useful so both should be supported. So IMHO, instead of replacing new tab it's better to introduce new column profiles settings.
