SUMMARY
As we can see in the attached screenshot, currently the readability of "This effect is not a benchmark" text is not good. The fonts look badly rendered.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. search for "desktop effects" kcm in the apps launcher and open it
2. check "Show FPS" effect and click "Ok" button 
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
Already mentioned above

EXPECTED RESULT
"This effect is not a benchmark" text has better readability

On Plasma 5.26 beta the fonts are badly rendered when I set display scale to 125%. For some reason, Spectacle is unable to capture the effect.

The effect has been rewritten since, and the text looks okay to me at 125% scale in Plasma 6
