SUMMARY Application Dashboard Meta shortcut resets after restart / logout. To make it work again, I have to: 1. Remove the Alt+F1 shortcut from Settings -> Shortcuts 2. Remove the Application Dashboard widget from the panel 3. Add the Application Dashboard widget back to the panel and set the shortcut to Alt+F1 (in the Application Dashboard configuration) STEPS TO REPRODUCE Restart or logout OBSERVED RESULT Meta key does not open the Application Dashboard EXPECTED RESULT Meta key opens the Application Dashboard SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon 5.15 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.57.0 Qt Version: 5.12.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The way application dashboard global shortcuts work has changed in Plasma 6; a shortcut to Alt-F1 no longer needs to be set up in the applet itself as long as it's configured in System Settings > Shortcuts. (I also can't replicate this error in Plasma 5.27, where a shortcut still needs to be set in the applet). Can you still replicate this error in a recent version of Plasma, ideally Plasma 6?
