Description Dennis Fehr 2019-04-22 11:33:44 UTC
SUMMARY

On the nightly build, and as far as I can remember on the stable version as well.. As the title says, it doesn't load the layer style settings. It knows which layer styles I used, but doesn't u

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create or open an existing .kra with a vector layer, and layer style.
2. Have some layer styles (for example, bevel and emboss, and stroke)
3. Tweak some of the settings (like stroke size, color)
4. Add new tab / document to Krita.
5. Create vector layer in new document (there should be 2 tabs in the app)
6. Paste object in new document vector layer
7.1. Notice it doesn't copy the layer styles? Which I don't know if it's the intended behavior or not, so I haven't included it in this bug report.
7.2. Open layer properties and go to 'styles'
8. In the drop-down should be a document which says (embedded), locate the layer style from there.
9. Notice how the checkmarks are there, but when you go to them it doesn't actually load the settings in the styles?

OBSERVED RESULT

Doesn't load style settings.

EXPECTED RESULT

Should load style settings.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Think that should be it.

I think layer styles are stored at the layer level, not the object level.

There would have to be a way to copy the layer styles (from the layer) to the clipboard and paste them to another layer that you have selected.

Does this request sound like a duplicate of this one?

Oop, I think you may be missing the point of the bug report. :) .. Read past 7.1, it'll say using the 'styles' functionality in the layer style window. You can import/export, or select styles in the area on the right. That's when it was failing as they weren't being loaded.

The 7.1 was just kinda a side note saying it'd have nice functionality if I could copy a layer with styles and all and paste it to a new document. :)
