SUMMARY While having a multi-screen setup, with one default plasma default panel on each screen, io-bounded notifications like ones produced by move/copy/delete operations in dolphin will produce as many notifications as the number of panel on each screen, i.e. having three screen with three panels will produce 3 notifications on each screens, which amount in a total of 9 notifications. A workaround is to disable the check box: "Track file transfers and other jobs" in each notification configuration menu of each panel (except one in order to keep at least one notification on each screen). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. use multiple screens 2. have one default panel on each screens 3. delete/copy/move a file using dolphin OBSERVED RESULT multiple notifications of the same event on each screen. EXPECTED RESULT one notifications of the event on each screen. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: manjaro (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0 Qt Version: 5.12.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I also found this bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392669 However, for me, the number of notifications on each screen is linked to the number of panels and not on the number of screens.
A lot has changed since this bug was filed. Is it still reproducible for you in Plasma 5.24 (the latest LTS version) or 5.25 (the latest version, period)?
