Description Matthieu Penant 2019-04-15 19:44:10 UTC
SUMMARY
New versions have been released on Git. Previously, Windows binaries were available at http://kdiff3.sourceforge.net/ . The two newest versions are not available for windows in a binary form.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to http://kdiff3.sourceforge.net/
2. The latest version available is 0.9.98 for windows.
3. Go to https://github.com/KDE/kdiff3/blob/master/ChangeLog
4. The latest version available from the source is 1.8.

OBSERVED RESULT

No newer binaries are available for windows.

EXPECTED RESULT

Newer binaries should be available for windows.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: X
macOS: N/A
Linux/KDE Plasma: N/A
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: N/A

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I'm the maintainer of the chocolatey package located here: https://chocolatey.org/packages/kdiff3/ - I would like to update this package with the newest version of kdiff3, to make them easily available.

I have no control over the old source forge site and will be making the
first official release at the end of the month window s binaries will be
provided at that time. Some Linux distros have adopted pre-release testing
versions so you've probably seen these. 1.8 is the next official release.

Good news!
I am also very interested in getting binaries for MS Windows of the latest KDiff3. It seems that Version 1.81 has already been released. Could you provide a link where the builds have been published or could you also upload a pre-built version for Windows?
