Description Ovidiu-Florin BOGDAN 2019-04-15 09:07:59 UTC
SUMMARY
When I change my password for a Office 365 account, Kmail fails to authenticate but gives no message to let me know what's happening. The only hint that the authentication has failed is the account status in the Kmail config in Accounts in Incoming. And that only if you have that window open and in focus while you trigger the fetch mail on that account (which you can't do form that window).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect KMail to a MS Office 365 account
2. Read emails
3. Change password to the account (don't update the password in KMail, yet)
4. Fetch new mails

OBSERVED RESULT
Resource gets in the "Disconnected" state.

EXPECTED RESULT
A pop-up message (dialog box) to appear prompting the user to re-authenticate and after successful authentication to redo the fetch mails.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 29 KDE
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0
Qt Version: 5.11.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is just a UI/UX issue. If I change the password in the KMail account, the mail fetching works.
