Created attachment 119290 [details] Access Denided Error Message SUMMARY When attempting to save a completed work to my hard drive I receive an Access is Denied error message. I also notice that through Krita I see hidden files when the Windows setting is set to hide said files. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a new doc 2. Select File/Save 3. Select Directory 4. Select Save button OBSERVED RESULT Access Denied Error message EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Expected result would be to have my work saved. I've tried saving in various formats and no results. Export yields same results.
have yo tried to save to another location? This error sounds to me as a file system permissions error. Basically you are trying to write into a read only folder.
Setting this to waiting for info till we get more information.
It behaves this way with all folders...Krita is the only program with this issue...as stated previously, I can see hidden files as well via the save dialog box
Thanks for your comment! Automatically switching the status of this bug to REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to get confirmed. In the future you may also do this yourself when providing needed information.
Have you tried saving to your 'my documents' folder? Because it might be that this specific folder has some permissions that Krita doesn't have? If you're seeing hidden files, try toggling the 'native file dialog' in settings->configure Krita->general->misc
Check whether https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html#windows-krita-cannot-save is relevant, too.
It saves in the Documents folder albeit it did not do it the first time I tried. I made a sub-folder for Krita work and it saved there as well. Thanks for your help. Best Mike
Okay, so this isn't a bug, then.
