I replaced the default analog clock with the digital clock widget, but it's not being affected by the parabolic effect, like the other widgets & tasks.

That is intentional... Parabolic effect is provided only for applets that are rectangular or less than rectangular in their length axis...

The specific applet in big at its length axis so parabolic effect can be supported for it
