Right now all connections are shown on the same "Available Connections" list, this gets quickly cumbersome as the available VPN connections grow. Its even worse if you also have multiple wi-fi adapters connected, my suggestion is to move the VPN connections to a different tab within the applet window such that VPN connections remain separated from physical connections, it would be even better if you could group VPN connections on their providers/countries. i attached a small image showing how i'd like to see it

I think I already closed a similar bug, but I'll leave this open in case someone wants to implement this in some reasonable way. My opinion is that the applet is too small to have something like this. All I can do is to make "priority" property relevent when sorting connections in the view.

One of my biggest pet peeves is the list of wifi connections reloading right as I'm about to click the button to connect to my VPN (and stuff reloading while you're trying to use it in general).

Moving the VPN connections to a separate tab would be helpful to prevent this problem, though alternatively stop refreshing wifi networks when the tray is opened and adding a manual refresh button would also work.

I agree. I regularly run into this problem myself when trying to initiate a VPN
connection. The list entries jump around the moment I try to click the "Connect"
button resulting in an accidental connection attempt to a different network resulting
in my current WiFi connection being disconnected.

Alternatively, it would also help to add a checkbox to hide unknown WiFi connections
which would reduce the risk of an accidental connection attempt to a nearby network.

In most cases, a user has only one known network nearby which they can connect to,
so being able to hide the unknown networks would eliminate the possibility of accidentally
trying to connect to such a network which would disconnect the current connection.

On the other hand, making it a simple checkbox would allow to unhide unknown networks
easily at any time to be able to connect to a new WiFi network when necessary.
