SUMMARY ======= As the title suggests, it would be helpful if Discover would offer a checkbox when selecting an application for install to include any -doc packages that are available on a given distribution. For example, when selecting "Amarok" for installation, offer to also install the "amarok-doc" package. Optionally, this could also be a global setting as well. I realize this won't work for every backend (likely only for native apps available through standard repositories and not Snaps, etc.) - However I think it aligns well with KDE's Usability Initiative. Anything to help new users, many of whom would not yet know about Userbase, for example. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Pick an app for installation 2. Install said application OBSERVED RESULT - Observe no help docs installed EXPECTED RESULT - Help (docs) should be a part of any app install (as an option) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon User KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0 Qt Version: 5.12.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I'd expect the documentation to be installed together with the application as it's part of it. If that is not the case, I'd suggest asking the packagers to include it.
