SUMMARY When importing data from a QFX file, the name field is ignored and a value is substituted. It looks like a name that was encountered the first time an import was performed, which BTW was correct. We need some details here. In case you cannot disclose names please replace them with A and B (or similar) so that we know exactly what gets replaced by what. Check the settings on the 'Matching' tab of the payees as well and provide the information here. To me this somewhat sound like the transaction matcher is doing its work, but I might be mistaken. Also, it might be advisable to check if the problem still persists in newer versions. You may use the latest stable appimage which you can find on https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/KMyMoney_Stable_Appimage_Build/ for this check.
