Error showing up on page load

SUMMARY
After upgrading to qtwebengine 5.12(.2), falkon is unable to load some webpages (www.google.com, www.amazon.com). After page load (the page shows up for a split second) the error “Failed loading page” shows up (see attached screenshot)

The same pages work with konqueror fwiw

console output shows a crash in QtWebEngine; I am currently rebuilding on debug to obtain a meaningful stacktrace
Comment 2 David Rosca 2019-03-25 12:59:49 UTC
You would need to rebuild QtWebEngine in debug which might not be that easy. In any case, this should be reported to QtWebEngine upstream.
Comment 3 Jacopo De Simoi 2019-03-25 15:16:21 UTC
(In reply to David Rosca from comment #2)

The debug build of QtWebEngine is still running (yes it takes *forever*)

Konqueror with QtWebEngine does not show the same issue; I can try qutebrowser, but I need to recompile it, too. Will keep you posted

qutebrowser also does not crash.

Waiting to qtwebengine to finish building to post a complete stacktrace

I finally managed to compile a debug build of WebEngine.

Naturally now falkon does not crash anymore :/
Any suggestions?

Well, I am experiencing this issue as well. Some pages show up but almost immediately show "Failed loading page" instead. Not really usable in this state.

This seem to be fixed now in:

Application version 3.1.0
QtWebEngine version 5.13.0
