Description Nathan Leigh 2019-03-22 15:50:07 UTC
SUMMARY

For the past few weeks, there have been updates to several Plasmoids (Air Quality Widget, Media Controller Compact, Window Buttons Applet, Window Title Applet) that I downloaded from store.kde.org sitting in the update queue. Every time I attempt to update all, it hangs with 0% in the task bar and refuses to allow me to cancel any task. When I attempt to remove the Plasmoids through Discover it hangs at 0% and does not allow me to cancel the task. If I unclick the Plasmoids (it appears to be all of them) in order to update other packages as soon as I click "update all" they are re-enabled against my wishes and the process hangs at 0%. I've been just updating my system using apt in the meantime.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Selectively attempt to update each of the 4 Plasmoids individually, as a whole, and attempts to uninstall
2. Observe task stuck at 0%

OBSERVED RESULT

System refuses to close or progress. "Logout cancelled by usr/bin/plasma-discover"

EXPECTED RESULT

Plasmoids should be able to be either updated, uninstalled, or at the very least ignored through Discover

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 18.10
KDE Plasma Version: 5.13.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.50.0
Qt Version: 5.11.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
It appears to be related to but distinct from Bug 404358.

(This is my first bug report, apologies if syntax is vague or incorrect)

Probably is fixed in newer plasma versions.
