Description Hector 2019-03-19 12:05:17 UTC
Tool similar to concentric ellipse, but without axes. Just the point around which the brush will draw a circle. It is necessary to draw circles with one center not in perspective. Such a tool is simply more convenient and faster to use.

Can you please explain what is the usecase and how this usecase differs from the usecase of the ellipse assistant?

Simple 2D plans, concepts with a side view (like a car). A concentric ellipse constantly changes its center when you move the axis.

But I just realized that it can be configured through the shift button and simply move to the desired point. So around the point it’s just a simplified version where you don’t have to adjust the axes. Then it is not necessary.

Can be made an additional function to concentric. Checkbox "without axes".

Pay more attention to the ellipse squared. I suggested this at the same time and even put a GIF(from another program) on what to do. bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405643

You can move the whole assistant without touching the axis if you drag by the move icon (the weird cross icon), the same as other assistants. Does it fix your issue? (The circle in the square, allowing perspective, is a different wish report and I believe it's valid).

Maybe it could be possible to make it always "grab" the assistant if you click in the middle of it (around the center). But for now it looks both possible to move without readjusting axis, and it's consistent with other assistants.

Yes, it does. For some reason I didn’t think of it last year.

Thanks! Then I can close it :)
