Description Mikel Pérez 2019-03-17 01:22:13 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open the reviews/annotations panel
2. select freehand line
3. draw something

OBSERVED RESULT
after one stroke, it switches back to moving/panning the document

EXPECTED RESULT
stay in draw mode

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 29
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0
Qt Version: 5.11.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
my signature requires more than one stroke and this is a deal breaker
Comment 1 Mikel Pérez 2019-03-17 01:30:36 UTC
also present on okular 1.7.70 flatpak

(I guess it has always been this way. I think it's terrible behaviour - many people don't sign with 1 stroke)

You have to select "freehand line" by *double*-clicking. If you do that it stays selected permanently.

I agree that UI-wise this is less than optimal. Anyone for replacing double clicks by single clicks here?

In general, me. But currently, every stroke becomes a new annotation.

I think that's a separate issue.
