Created attachment 118568 [details] Barely readable black text on blue background In PDF documents with insertion annotations, black text is barely readable on blue background.

Can you try the following procedure? 1. "Settings -> Configure Okular..." in the main menu. 2. The "Annotations" page, choose "Pop-up Note", then press "Edit". 3. Click on the blue color button and choose the other color (e.g. yellow). 4. Click "OK", then "OK". Thanks in advance for your answer.
Created attachment 118569 [details] attachment-4137-0.html Thanks, but this doesn't solve the problem with annotations that are already in the pdf (i.e. someone wnot using Okular sends me annotated pdf with reviews). A possible solution (which is used in many other pdf viewers) would be to leave the border of the pop-up in the same colour as the mark of the annotation (in this case dark blue), but use a different colour (for example by decreasing the saturation). Ok. Seems like the text color should be chosen as a complementary to the background. Something like this: https://doc.qt.io/archives/qq/qq26-adaptivecoloring.html
It looks like this is Qt problem and there is nothing to do on Okular side. See [1] for the details and screenshots. [1] https://phabricator.kde.org/D19542
