Description Peter B. 2019-03-01 23:15:38 UTC
SUMMARY
I don't know how to better describe this...
When I drag the lower timeline frame down, so that the video preview gets bigger, the position of the timeline frame seems to revert - to "spring back" to its original position.

I've tried saving and loading the view layout. I loads my layout, but then reverts back to default after a few seconds.

I've used Kdenlive in the past already and don't remember this behavior.

Anything I could check/do to fix this?
Thanks in advance :)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Drag the timeline frame border up/down to resize the video preview.
2. Move the playcursor around in the timeline for a few seconds (~5-10).

OBSERVED RESULT
The frame layout reverts back to its initial position.
The same revert happens after loading a layout.

EXPECTED RESULT
Keep the changed frame layout until I change it again (probably keep it even between restarts).

Thank you for reporting. Confirmed. Even in the refactoring version we have this “snap back” of the timeline.

Solution see here: https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Configuration. Delete kdenliverc and kdenlive-appimagerc.
