Amarok displaying a bad song author

SUMMARY

When listening to online radio stream, on first connection all metadata is assigned correctly but when song changes, it updates title but the author is not correctly updated, setting things like:

"Bonnie Tyler - Holding out for a hero"
By The Corrs

Tested with Amarok 2.8.0 on KDE 4.14.26 under Debian Stable (stretch)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open stream: https://19093.live.streamtheworld.com/LOS40_CLASSICAAC.aac
2. First song will be displayed correctly and lyrics correctly recovered
3. On song change, you will see title updated but author not.

OBSERVED RESULT

Author doesn't change with song change, lyrics can not be recovered, ...

EXPECTED RESULT

Author will be updated as song title, lyrics will be the one you're listening

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Linux Debian stretch

Amarok Versión: 2.8.0
KDE: 4.14.26
Qt Version: 4.8.7

Please update your Amarok version, 2.8.0 is really obsolete. Is this reproducible with version 2.9.0?

Hi Myriam,

At Debian Buster is not available yet so I installed Kubuntu in VirtualBox, with same issue.

I was required to install gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad to be able to listen this stream ... Could be this library the issue?

Most likely not, the plugin is required to actually listen to mp3.

I was wondering: did the stream behavior change compared to an earlier version or is this happening only in this particular stream? can it be reproduced with other streams (which would then clearly point to Amarok or one of its dependencies) or is this behavior specific to this stream? Some streams just don't update the metadata correctly, and sadly this happens very often.
