can not save documents get a could not save 'fileName' access is denied, windows 7 sp1, Krita 4.1.7

This is not a bug in Krita. You're tyring to save somewhere you don't have access to.

I have access to every thing on the computer and this only started happening when i updated to 4.1.7
I can save files if I run the program as administrator

"I can save files if I run the program as administrator" -- that proves that it is a problem with your system, not with Krita.

krita is the only program i have with this problem and it only started when
i updated to 4.1.7
this is happening on my lap top and desk top computer.
I have tried changing permission on the folder i am trying to save to, but
nothing works.
I can save to the desktop however.
