"old-looking" display

Hi,
Ever since the last update, Krita doesn't want to run properly on my laptop. I tried de-install/reinstall it, multiple time in different condition with more or less old setup file. But no matter how much I tried, it kept crashing when opening a file, or creating a new canvas (or basically anything).
So I recovered a previous version, before the update. And it kept crashing, but the display suddenly looked like a really old version (light grey, blocky, feels off and not up to date).
I just bought krita from steam, to see if this will change anything. And it did not. I can open files, but it's crashing down sometimes, the pressure of my pen is nowhere to be seen (only in krita) and I still have this "old-looking" display.

Try resetting the configuration? https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html#resetting-krita-configuration

It might be that Krita got a little confused.
