OBSERVED RESULT ktorrent icon is not present in the system tray EXPECTED RESULT ktorrent icon is present in the system tray SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon Developer Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0 Qt Version: 5.12.0
I've just tested this on git master and cannot reproduce. ktorrent is placed in the system tray. If it is not displaying try adjusting system tray preferences to make ktorrent always show. Can you please re-test Patrick and confirm if this is still an issue for you, thanks.
This bug persists with nightly flatpak. I not even can modifiy preferences because ktorrent opens minimized to system tray but it has no icon there.

Have you cleared any config or cache files out for the flatpak or just updated it to the latest nightly? It may be if you've just updated it's kept the old broken config that was supplied with the flatpak.
I have just installed flatpak version of ktorrent nightly on neon unstable, tray icon is enabled in preferences but it is still missing from system tray.
Created attachment 132927 [details] Screenshot It's not in the unused section of the tray? See screenshot
