Currently, KInfoCenter only displays information about the distribution and the hardware, but it doesn't show any information about the OEM. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open KInfoCenter OBSERVED RESULT KInfoCenter only shows the following information: - Distribution Logo / Distribution name with web URL. - Software / KDE Plasma version, KDE Frameworks version, Qt Version, Kernel version, OS type. - Hardware / Processor, total RAM. EXPECTED RESULT KInfoCenter should show the following information: - Distribution Logo / Distribution name with web URL. - Software / KDE Plasma version, KDE Frameworks version, Qt Version, Kernel version, OS type. - Hardware / Processor, total RAM. - Manufacturer / Product name, Product version, Logo, Manufacturer URL. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Nitrux 1.1.3 KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.54.0 Qt Version: 5.12.0 Kernel Version: 4.20.5-042005-generic OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor Memory: 31.4 GiB
Do you have any suggestions where that data would come from? I'm actually a bit hesitant to make such info available as a new block like hardware and software, the data gets rather long by now. Maybe a button-like control somewhere that plops the data up as a tooltip or popup window?
