I'm trying to build Kile 3.0b2 (2.9.92) on a Devuan ASCII machine (it's essentially Debian Stretch). Now, Debian Stretch has version 5.28 of the KDE Framework, while KIle needs v5.31. I don't know what the exact differences are, but - if possible, can you get 2.9.92 to build with the prerequisites available on Debian?
Sorry, but this is not possible - we don't have the manpower for that. Besides, frameworks 5.28 is already more than two years old.
(In reply to Michel Ludwig from comment #1) > Besides, frameworks 5.28 is already more than two years old. Stable distributions have a lot of code that is more than two years old; specifically, Debian. But - suit yourself.
True, Debian stretch has Kile 2.1.3 - use that - it's six years old, very stable.
