SUMMARY In Advanced Tab "Configure keyboard options" check is switched off. I have 2 layouts -EN, RU. When I switch to RU layout, keyboard LED (Scroll LED) is on. When I switch back to EN, led is off. Problem is that system use option ("Use keyboard LED to show alternative layout"), but systemsettings show that there are all off. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Run systemsettings, select Input Devices, Keyboard, Advanced Tab, look for some enabled options (LED, for example), uncheck "Configure keyboard options", apply 2. Settings applied, system use it, but in GUI it's looks as All disabled 3. Check again "Configure keyboard options", that show options that system use - LED, keys, etc. OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT "Configure keyboard options" is checked, when some options under it is used in system SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: MacOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Opensuse 15 Leap / 5.12.6 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.12.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.45.0 Qt Version: 5.9.4 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
You need to restart plasma after uncheck "Configure keyboard options", so switching the keyboard layout will not turn on the keyboard led. I think plasma should apply the change immediately or show a warning saying that restart plasma could be necessary to apply the change like other KCMs already do.

Nope. I have many times reboot my system and when I go to this options - all was off. This behavior is confusing. It seems to me that "Configure keyboard options" check must be enabled if under that has some enables options.
Created attachment 188231 [details] my keyboard settings screen Sorry, but where is the "Advanced Tab" in the keyboard settings window?
I found the option. It's now hidden behind the "Key Bindings" button. I took the following steps to attempt to reproduce the issue: 1. Check the mark for "Configure keyboard options" 2. Expand the dropdown "Use keyboard LED to show alternative layout" 3. Check the mark "Caps Lock" 4. Apply 5. Go back to the previous window 6. Add a new keyboard layout 7. Apply 8. Switch between layouts ("the led is on when the alternative layout is selected") 9. Go back to "Key Bindings " 10. Disable the check mark "Configure keyboard options". No visual glitches are observed 11. Attempt to switch the keyboard layout. The led light doesn't change. Did I misread something? Am I missing some step? Is this still an issue in KDE 6.5.4?
