Created attachment 117633 [details] Debug info collected by kcrash SUMMARY When someone is writing to me on e.g. Google hangouts, all the phone notifications are forwarded to my desktop and basically every time after notification popup is displayed kdeinit5 crashes. Which results in annoying stream of notifications that are displayed constantly: - notification from phone - kdeinit5 crashed - notification from phone - kdeinit5 crashed - .... From my observation the real problem seems to be that messages are received too fast and simply stack one on another, but that's just an educated guess. I don't see this problem if notifications are sufficiently separated in time. This has plagued me constantly over last year and different KDE versions. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enable receive of notifications from Android phone to PC 2. Have someone type to you a lot of messages one after another quickly 3. Watch kdeinit5 crashes SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: openSuse Tumbleweed (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5 (happened before too) KDE Frameworks Version: 5.53.0 (happened before too) Qt Version: 5.12.0

Are you sure this is a duplicate of bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402646? They look very different for me. It's quite likely duplicate of bug #403537, but not #402646 The stack trace looks different in my case. I don't have any (and never had) problems with kdeinit5 at startup. This crash is triggered *only* by kdeconnect notifications.
Created attachment 120127 [details] Crash report collected by kcrash I can confirm this issue. I've attached my crash report, which looks slightly different than Adrian's. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon 5.15 User Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.58.0 Qt Version: 5.12.0 I've never experienced this bug before with any older software versions.
All backtraces are the same, and a duplicate of bug 402646. But since someone else knows better, I won't resolve it again.
I've had these crashes in the past but I haven't had them recently. Adrian, can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I've set the bug status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved" when you respond, thanks.
