As of bug 386531 the Textfilter of Gwenview adopts Ctrl+i shortcut of Dolphin.

Wish:

When the filter lost focus, Ctrl+i should bring the focus back and select the current filter text - so typing will replace as it now does in Dolphin.

When the filter has keyboard focus, ESC would first remove any text, but leave the empty filter open. On second press of ESC the filter would vanish and focus would fall back to the images.
