Right now, power saving only inhibits for media players. I have to use the Caffeine Plus plasmoid to correctly inhibit power saving in situations for playing games with controllers. Power management should also have an option to inhibit when any full screen application is running

That's not true. It's inhibiting for any app that chooses to inhibits. 

You also don't need an additional plasmoid, you can disable power management from the main battery applet.

I don't think an option based on guessing heuristics helps. For the users that enable it they'll get false positives and we still have a bug for the users that don't enable it.
