SUMMARY When I have my V-moda boompro microphone plugged in and launch the application, the replay gets static. It does not show up on the final product though. To fix this, I have to unplug my mic and headset and completely shut down the application. But to do so, I have to go into my task manager, and manually shut down 3-7 of different applications that are continually running. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. plug in V-moda boompro mic 2. open Kdenlive application 3. listen to any audio OBSERVED RESULT A static noise when watching the preview, and the application not fully closing. EXPECTED RESULT Non-static in the playback, and the application fully closing when I close it in the app, not having to manually close it in the task manager SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: Windows 10 Pro MacOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: not sure KDE Frameworks Version: 5.50.0 Qt Version: 5.11.1 (built against 5.11.1) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Not very critical, but would be nice to fix
You have 2 issues: Application closing “left over” is fixed with version 18.12.0. You can download it here: https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/kdenlive-Applications_18.12-c91c8abb7-windows-mingw_64-gcc.exe . It’s self-installing. Here a work around for the themes: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=269&t=156327 . If you like to work with 18.08 here a batch file to kill the “left over”: The second one: by static you mean a static hum like a ground loop? Do you have this static in other application as well?
I mean static like a popping sound. It only happens in kdenlive.
And thank you for putting the work around for the themes. I was freaking out for a second there.
Please try with version 20.08.1. Lots of issue like playback and audio pops are solved.
