Shorten the title: Crash on "write tags database to image" whilst windows explorer window (containing the same files) open. Same action with explorer window closed seems OK. Maik
I can not reproduce the problem here in 2 virtual machines running Windows7 / 10. Test on a real Windows machine is still done. Do you have any anti-virus software running? Temporarily disable and test possible? Here is just one example that anti-virus software has contributed to a crash: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/212490-digikam-removed-as-ransomware/ Maik
Same here, I just tested with Windows 10 too, without antivirus installed, and it's not reproducible... Gilles
Please also test the last digiKam-6.0.0-beta3 from here: https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Make a backup of your database, if you want to return to an earlier version. Maik
I think it's not serious enough at the moment to need to go back to a previous version, as it seems to be OK if the explorer window is closed (so far anyway). But I look forward to this being fixed in future a version.
