SUMMARY
There can be a checkbox near top right 'Remove' button on app page that will toggle removing of it's configuration files/folders. Or it can be a 'Purge' button

I don't think that's relevant for the desktop use-case. I'm pretty sure apt won't remove reliably the software configurations in the home folder.
