Country flag configured but not displayed in keyboard indicator

SUMMARY

When running under wayland, there is no country flag displayed near the keyboard status icon in the panel, even when it is configured to be shown.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Configure keyboard layout
2. Add new layout
3. set "display flag" to ON

OBSERVED RESULT

Just keyboard visualization.

EXPECTED RESULT

A keyboard visualization with the country flag.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:

There's an upcoming rewrite of keyboard layout indicators, with a fully blown applet for layout switching - which would then be backend agnostic.

Last time someone else made a patch adding this, it ended up getting rejected as this thing was going to replace it.

I'm going to close this bug simply because I don't want someone to spend time doing that.
