Created attachment 116954 [details] Clipboard settings window screenshot SUMMARY The text does not fit in the window default size, and scrolling or resizing the window is necessary. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. open clipboard settings window 2. Go to the Actions tab OBSERVED RESULT Content does not fit the window EXPECTED RESULT Content to be properly arranged to fit the window SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 29 KDE (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.52.0 Qt Version: 5.11.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Please add a component to `plasmashell` for the clipboard module in bugzilla.
It's not that the text doesn't fit, but the buttons don't fit. Because the buttons don't fit, the viewport is bigger so the text wraps to fill that. We typically don't resize KCMs (or plasma equivalent) to the new minimum size when we load a new tab to stop things jumping around - but you're right that this looks pretty rubbish. >Please add a component to `plasmashell` for the clipboard module in bugzilla. For historical reasons it's kept under klipper.
Created attachment 125770 [details] screen recording Same thing on Plasma 5.18 beta. As we see in the attached screen recording, text on bottom is completely hidden and "Advanced" button is cut off in "Actions" section of klipper settings. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.66.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1
it looks like the layout has since been re-done to always make the text fit, because I cannot make this happen no matter what window size I choose.
