SThe database names configuration is not valid. Error is 

The core database name is empty

Please check your configuration.

Do you use SQLite or MySQL?
What is stored in digiKam-> Settings-> Database?

No feedback and the error can not be reproduced. I close the bug, if necessary reopen again.
