SUMMARY Trying to open a csv archive exported from tvpaint, Krita doesn't open it and gives me the message: "Krita doesn't allow to open this file format" STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. I opened the Krita versión (downloaded version from Steam) 2. Export a csv archive from tvpaint 10 (Attached with its pngs files) 3. Tried to open directly from Archive/Open OBSERVED RESULT An error message result: "Krita doesn't allow to open this file format" (instead .csv files are from the "allowed file formats" which you can see in the open menu windows and in the user manual form Krita) EXPECTED RESULT The archive correctly opened with all the frames perfect disposed in the timeline. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: windows 7 KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
(In reply to Ian Giaroli from comment #0) > instead .csv files are from the "allowed file formats" I didn't checked myself yet, but are you sure that in your case it "consists of a text file with .csv extension, together with a folder under the same name and a .frames extension. The .csv file and the folder must be on the same path location" (https://docs.krita.org/en/general_concepts/file_formats/file_csv.html.)?
*haven't Could you by chance share the files for testing?

(In reply to mvowada from comment #2) > *haven't > > Could you by chance share the files for testing? Ok, all shared, the png's must be in a folder called Mermaid.frames in the same location than the csv to work, but i couldn't upload it in a zip, sorry.
Created attachment 116789 [details] (csv for testing created with Krita 4.2.0) Yes, it says that the file format is not supported (I have created a new csv file in attachment for testing, using Krita 4.2.0).
Confirming...
I am changing this to a "wishlist" item since it would be a new feature to be able to import TV Paint CSV files. Based off the documentation, the CSV file is just a text file with a table of locations for animation frames and layers. They are mapped to all the images in the "my.frames" folder. It is all zipped up. This functionality could probably be written with a python plugin with some of the new python API stuff that is added in Krita 4.2 reference: https://www.tvpaint.com/doc/tvp11/index.php?id=lesson-import-export-handling-projects-export
Ah, no, that's wrong, I'm afraid. Our CSV plugin advertises it can import, but it cannot. So this really is a bug. Unfortunately, the original author has sort of disappeared...

Not disappeared, I just work in the night and was sleeping when the messages were writting, but doesn't know anything about programming, so I discovered the problem and report It.
I was talking about the author of the code, not the bug report :-)

Git commit 72655eff0dfd90d5c8bde0f4418af1703f84ba94 by Boudewijn Rempt. Committed on 03/10/2019 at 12:25. Pushed by rempt into branch 'krita/4.2'. Don't install the csv import/export plugin for now, it's broken M +2 -2 plugins/impex/csv/CMakeLists.txt https://invent.kde.org/kde/krita/commit/72655eff0dfd90d5c8bde0f4418af1703f84ba94
Fixed here, in 5.1x/5.2x: https://invent.kde.org/graphics/krita/-/merge_requests/1633 "401890 Fix .csv import". It wasn't automatically closed because of a typoed bug number in the commit.
