Description S. Christian Collins 2018-12-01 05:41:17 UTC
SUMMARY
The application menu button is awesome, but has bugs in some applications. There at least needs to be a way to launch an application with the normal menu bar as a way to work around the occasional misbehaving app. Apparently there used to be an environment variable to accomplish this (APPMENU_DISPLAY_BOTH=1), but it doesn't appear to work in Plasma 5.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. With the application menu button enabled in the Breeze window decoration, install and launch "sgt-mines" by Simon Tatham (from Ubuntu package "sgt-puzzles")
2. Click the application menu button in the title bar and open the "Type" menu.

OBSERVED RESULT
It is impossible to select a game other than "9x9, 10 mines". First time the menu is opened, all options except for "9x9, 10 mines" are disabled. Subsequent times the menu is opened, all options appear to be simultaneously selected, but none of the options can actually be activated.

EXPECTED RESULT
I should be able to select the game type or at the very least have a way to bypass the application menu button for this application.

Hello,
unfortunately due lack of KDE resources we are unable to attend all the request.
Please try with new KDE version.

This is quite old, resolving the ticket.
