Description signupemail 2018-11-26 19:55:58 UTC
SUMMARY

Upon resume from sleep, Ocuklar shows black space, not the slide.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open PDF with Okular.
2. Suspend PC - possibly only when Okular is in full-screen mode.
3. Resume PC.

OBSERVED RESULT

Black screen with an Okular menu popping-up when I mouse to the top of the screen.

EXPECTED RESULT

The slide seen pre-suspend should be visible.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Mint 19 Cinnamon x64.
Qt Version: unknown.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This problem may owe to Mint or Ubuntu or even the kernel. My kernel is a 4.19 one.

When I try to suspend, my computer reboots instead... When I lock and unlock the screen, Okular behaves as expected.

As you use the word "slide" and mention the popping-up menu: Do you mean "Presentation Mode" instead of "Full-Screen Mode"?

Changing status, please answer David's question

David, Albert

Yes, I mean what Okular calls 'presentation mode' (and which, it seems to me, displays the currently viewed page of the document over the full screen).

(By the way: the keyboard shortcuts window does not maximise, which made answering the question harder than it should have been.)
Comment 4 Albert Astals Cid 2018-11-27 23:10:18 UTC
There's something wrong in your DE if it does not let you maximize the configure shortcuts window https://i.imgur.com/AmJ8Fmn.png

Thanks. Indeed I do not see those buttons. Changing system themes did not help. Still, I use the 'kvantum' theme manager (to deal with qt applications); perhaps that has something to do with the problem.
