SUMMARY
KDE Connect plugin unable to utilize alternate messaging (SMS) apps

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install alternate SMS apps (e.g Signa) and set as phone default.
2. Restart phone and verify alternate SMS/MMS operation.
3. Receive notification and reply to SMS messages from KDE Connect desktop client.


OBSERVED RESULT
The (disabled) phone default messaging app is still used to send reply.

EXPECTED RESULT
Configured messaging app (e.g. Signal) should send reply message.

Thank you for the feedback! Unfortunately, Signal is a known issue. From our quick inspection, it looks like Signal is handling SMS in its own way which, since it is designed for a privacy focus, makes sense. It is on the future roadmap to figure out Signal, etc. compatibility, but first we are looking to do a release with basic features.
