SUMMARY When a directory contains a 16-bit greyscale DNG file (from VueScan), the dimensions displayed are twice the correct values. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a directory containing 16-bit greyscale DNG files in browse mode OBSERVED RESULT The size displayed below the filename is twice the correct value. EXPECTED RESULT Display the correct value. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS See about section. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Not sure about colour DNGs or 8-bit ones as I don't have any.
Could you attach a small example DNG file which demonstrates the issue? I guess DNG is handled by our loader for camera RAW formats, KF5::KDcraw.
If you can provide the information requested in comment #1, please add it.
Created attachment 117515 [details] Example DNG file Here is an example. Gwenview browse mode reports it as 2606x1640, while the image viewer reports (correctly) 1304x820, which is also reported in browse mode for the JPEG. Sorry for the delay, most of my scans are FAR to big to upload (70-150Mb).
Image is 1303x820x2 + 217x136x1 for thumbnail. Interestingly, on my system, Gwenview's information sidebar, as well as Gwenview's image viewer, only report and show the 217x136x1 thumbnail. It looks like Qt's TIFF loader is used for loading, because when I uninstall libqt5-qimageformats, it won't load it.
Created attachment 117529 [details] Screen shot of error. It's only in browse view that there's an issue, see the attached screenshot of the Thumbnail & size info for the DNG and the corresponding Jpeg.
This seems to be fixed by now, both in Browse and in View Mode, the correct dimensions are shown. If not, please reopen.
