SUMMARY
The project monitor does not display any visuals when opening an existing .kdenlive file. The only solution found for this bug is to toggle the project monitor into full screen and then disable it.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create new project with the default settings;
2. Import a .JPG file to the bin;
3. Drag the file into one of the sequencer's video channels. Save and exit;
4. Open kdenlive.


OBSERVED RESULT
No visuals appear on the project monitor.


EXPECTED RESULT
The image should be displayed in the project monitor, with effects applied if relevant.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - MANUAL SOLUTION
Toggle the project monitor into full screen and then disable it. The project monitor now displays the image as expected.

Do you have the same issue when you set the “track compositing” (above timeline, far left) to “High Quality”?
