Description Adam Golański 2018-11-21 20:52:52 UTC
SUMMARY

Desktop loses its default screen resolution (i.e. 1920×1080) after full screen application/game resolution change, and switch to resolution selected for full screen

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set resolution in Plasma for your default display settings
2. Install game, for example Chromium B.S.U from Discovery
3. Run game
4. Switch game settings to full screen
5. Change resolution to settings supported by game (i.e. 1280×960)
6. Exit game

OBSERVED RESULT

Plasma desktop is now in lower resolution (1280×960). It can be corrected manually in display settings

EXPECTED RESULT

Plasma desktop should retain its original resolution settings after exit from full screen mode.

In #5, were you setting the resolution from within the game itself? And is this still reproducible in Plasma 5.21? Thanks!
